Senior Analyst, Business Systems

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Analyst, Business Systems at Lifepoint Health, you will support Health Information Management (HIM) departments by implementing information systems and serving as a liaison between facility HIM departments and IS for software issues. You will provide expertise in Oracle/Cerner Electronic Health Records (EHR) and coding operations, identifying opportunities for business process improvements. Operating under minimal supervision, you will resolve problems under critical time constraints, ensuring alignment with LifePoint Health standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze HIM requirements, utilization, and trends across Lifepoint markets to drive adoption and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate application changes, including maintenance/patches and software changes.
  • Resolve break/fix issues and address clinical EHR needs with customers.
  • Plan, deploy, and remediate technology initiatives and patient outcomes with HIM directors and stakeholders.
  • Serve as SME for HIM workflows, improvements, and solutions deployments, integrating operational technology.
  • Manage Cerner solutions HIM requirements and workflows, including Legal Health Record and coding.
  • Support quality initiatives and recommend system solutions for improved patient outcomes.

What you’ll need:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or any equivalent experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; radiology, nursing, or other healthcare background preferred.
 
Experience: 5 years in clinical setting support HIM requirements and workflows including Legal Health Record, Release of Information (ROI), physician deficiencies, state reporting, user access auditing, data retention, and coding and reimbursement, at least 3 years’ experience in Cerner build and systems implementations; experience with AccessHIM a plus
