- Machine Operator - $16.50/hourJob Description:
- Plant Operations Expertise:
- Possess a general working knowledge of plant operations with a specialization in the Press Department.
- Have a minimum of one to two years of hands-on experience operating various press types, including Tandem, Progressive, and Transfer presses.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Hold a High School Diploma or GED/equivalent.
- Work Environment:
- Majority of work is performed within a factory environment that is ventilated and heated, but non-air-conditioned.
- Work may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and performing physical tasks.
- Physical Requirements:
- Job responsibilities may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, handling, and utilizing tactile information.
- Must be capable of expressing ideas and exchanging thoughts effectively through spoken and written communication.
- Proficient motor coordination, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination are essential, including occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Chemical Exposure:
- Occasional exposure to various cleaning supplies, chemicals, and agents used in a factory setting.
- Attention to Detail:
- Exhibit a high degree of concentration and attention to detail in daily tasks.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to supervisory instructions while ensuring compliance with safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Contribute to identifying and implementing operational improvements.
- Maintain a dependable and punctual attendance record, including attending pre-shift meetings as scheduled.
- Demonstrate knowledge of department-specific and plant-wide safety protocols and procedures.
- Understand the role in the safe operation of equipment.
- Communication Skills:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with engineering, manufacturing management, and fellow team members.
