In this role, you will carry out a range of manual labor tasks on-site for solar projects.

We are seeking General Laborers to join our client company's alternative energy and construction team in Crestview, FL. You will support worksite operations through manual labor tasks. This may include operating power tools, setting up temporary structures, keeping the worksite clean, or other necessary tasks. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products
• Provide assistance to onsite tradespeople such as PV Installers and Construction Workders
• Transport materials and equipment from one location to another
• Operate power tools and/or industrial equipment such as tape measures, wrenches, hammers, drills, rivet guns, shovels, grinders, and rakes
• Set up cones and warning signs to increase visibility
• Construct, transfer, and tear down temporary structures such as scaffolding
• Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or superintendent
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair
• Work as a Millwright, Solar PV Installer, or Quality Control Representative
• Be ready for long work hours, with one shift possibly lasting up to 12 hours
• Be aware that extra hours, and work on weekends and holidays, might be needed

Qualifications

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
• Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary
• You need reliable transportation to and from the project site
• You may need to work on weekends and holidays
• You should be positive, hardworking, and have a strong work ethic
