POSITION OVERVIEW

Delivers supplies or large equipment to job site locations and other delivery locations in accordance with an established schedule utilizing a company vehicle along with operates large equipment to support on-site and project needs


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives a company motor vehicle (CMV) 26,001 + pounds to customer businesses and residences to deliver materials or equipment according to established procedures
  • Operates large equipment, including earth movers, excavators, and other equipment as needed
  • Maintains and services large equipment, including minor equipment repairs as necessary
  • Sets core delivery schedule including additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on the time of the year and peak seasons
  • Interacts professionally with customers and the general public when delivering products and equipment to customers' site locations
  • Supports landscape operations as necessary
  • Maintains a clean and safe work site including proper maintenance and care of all company equipment
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
  • Position may perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Class A CDL license required.
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive company vehicles.
  • Reliability working very early/unpredictable hours in the snow season as needed.
  • Ability to operate equipment and machinery requiring monitoring multiple conditions and making multiple, complex, and rapid adjustments, such as snowplow, dump truck, front end loader, common hand, and power tools, welder/cutting torch, snow blower, hydraulic jacks, and shovel


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks
  • Ability to interface with all types of mechanical and construction contractors
  • Ability to problem solve and exhibit flexibility due to impacted routes and schedules
