Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate primers
- Select and mix paint colors to match specifications, using various techniques and equipment
- Apply paint coats evenly and efficiently to industrial and automotive equipment, ensuring proper coverage and finish
- Operate painting equipment such as spray guns, brushes, and rollers, following safety protocols and best practices
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications, making touch-ups or adjustments as needed
- Maintain painting equipment and work area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate painting schedules and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines
- Adhere to environmental regulations and disposal procedures for paints, solvents, and other hazardous materials
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an industrial or automotive equipment painter, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, paint mixing, and application methods
- Familiarity with different types of paints, coatings, and finishes used in industrial and automotive settings
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and instructions accurately
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to painting and hazardous materials handling
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Flexibility to work in various environments and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
