Description:
*Supporting the Associate Director of Admissions in the Patient Financial Advocate Unit* **Inpatient Auth Unit** • Scheduling in/out patients for appointments to various clinics • Verify and enter patient demographics - Verify insurances for Medicare and PPOs including co-pay information, familiar with HMO, IPA, and PPO - Reach out and notify payors, obtain authorizations, fax notifications, and support case management team as needed • Through training , they will be expected to Utilize their knowledge of ICD-9, CPT Codes and medical terminology as they input medical data into the system. - Process pre-registration and cash collections
