Barista

The Fairlane Hotel is looking for an experienced Barista to join the Bagel Shop team. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-facing role and understand basic food safety guidelines.

$14 - $15 hourly

As a Barista you’ll :

• Ensure kitchen sanitation according to health and safety guidelines.
• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, customized, and specialty beverages.
• Clean service and dining areas throughout shift.
• Servicing customers and taking orders.
• Receiving and distributing stock supplies.
• Greet Guests.
• Keep trash changed in the dining room and behind the register.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife-handling skills.
• Basic food cost knowledge.
• Understanding and knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Must be available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and restaurant employees.
• Constant standing/walking.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around the kitchen area.
