Job Title: Dryer Technician

Job Summary

ASI-Contracting is looking for a Dryer Technician to join our crew. We are looking for a safety-oriented individual to become a valuable asset to our team. As a Dryer Technician you will be working closely with the Dryer Service Manager and your primary purpose will be to perform maintenance and repair on commercial and farm grain dryers in our service area.

With this position comes the opportunity to advance within the company and transition to a Supervisory role.

PAY: Wage based on experience

HOURS: Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime and weekends will be required seasonally to meet customer demand.

Essential Job Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver’s license (in good standing)
• Reliable transportation
• General ability with mechanical, electrical, and gas plumbing (propane/natural gas) systems
• Must be able to work with others to achieve set goals
• Self-motivated
• Willingness to expand knowledge on the different types of dryer and control systems
• The ability to multitask and prioritize is essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are must

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust as needed
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, shop drawings, and service bulletins to perform required service
• Ability to use a variety of power tools and material handling equipment to perform duties
• Ability to solve electrical issues using wiring diagrams, multi-meters and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and other equipment used on job sites
• Perform tech support/field service calls at farms and commercial sites
• Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job sites
• Basic computer skills, email, filling out reports/time tracking.
• Represent ASI Contracting to customers in a professional way

Physical Demands

• Climb and maintain body balance at heights of 50ft. or more on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures
• Must be able to stand, bend, climb and reach overhead and below waist level on a daily basis
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis while lifting over 50 pounds occasionally
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
• Full range of body movements

Working Conditions

• Working outside in all kinds of weather conditions

• 40 hours per week, or as needed to meet customer demand
  • Overtime hours and some weekends will be required seasonally
• Daily travel to jobs with occasional overnights required
