Machinist ($25.78-35.00/hr)

Key Responsibilities:

• Looking to hire an ideal person who is capable of operating lathes, milling machines, grinders and saws and making simple set-ups.
• Normally performs operations such as turning, boring, honing, grinding, drilling, sawing and milling parts of complicated and simple shapes or any work not requiring the skill of a Journeyman Machinist. 
• Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards. 
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; etc.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years working experience as a Machinist in a Manufacturing shop. 
• Must be capable of using a Table Saw, Band saw, Lathe and Knee mill.

Education:

• HS Diploma, Trade School or AA degree.

Equipment Used:

• Able to use & read micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and simple blueprints.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Work may require the ability to lift 10-20 pounds infrequently.

Qualities Preferred:

• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Good work ethic and and stand for a long period of time.
