YOUR DAY TO DAY:

To perform set-ups on standard machine tools using all accessory tools and equipment necessary to build intricate parts or mechanisms required for prototype products, under minimum supervision.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Operating 2 & 3 axis Bridgeport Acu-Rite Retrofit mills with some programing.
• Performing manual machining using Hardinge lathe, LeBlond lathe, Bridgeport, and Deckle mills.
• Designing and fabricate tooling for machining.
• Reads and interprets all drawing necessary to perform the assigned production operations.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

1. Prior Bridgeport Acu-Rite retrofit or ProtoTrak operating experience.
2. Setup experience preferred.
3. Acu-Rite programing highly desired, or willing to learn.
4. Must have five years machining experience with 3 years manual machining.
5. Must be able to perform machining independently and be willing to train others.
6. Must read mechanical drawings and have good understanding of geometric tolerances.
7. Must be capable of performing Machinist Journey Levels tasks effectively.
8. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
9. This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
