Responsibilities and Position Summary:
  • Lead the daily operations of the maintenance department in day-to-day tasks to meet production demands in a safe manner
  • Maintaining the facility and directing outside contractors
  • Schedule/plan daily-weekly downtime projects
  • Manage inventory and critical spare parts inventory
  • Active team member in a multi-site team in developing a preventative maintenance program within the division
  • Communicate effectively with production and engineering for coordination
  • Ensure work is completed safely, following protocols, and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Evaluate training/education for technicians
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably CNC equipment, in engineering or maintenance roles
  • Leadership and management experience with a proven record of performance in project management, problem solving, people management, and priority management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated technical problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Possess hands-on experience and familiarity with machine/equipment
  • Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement methods
  • Project management experience
