- Operate mobile equipment to feed plant
- Perform pre and post operation inspections of plant and mobile equipment
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
- Replace drive belts, jaw dies, screen decks and maintain gear boxes and pulleys.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and repairs are made on plant, secondary structures, related maintenance tools, and safety equipment.
- Manage the startup and shut down process for the plant, conveyors, crushers, and related components
- Maintain housekeeping of yard and plant
- Inspect and monitor the plant and secondary structures to ensure safe and proper operation
- Determine proper settings for crusher and feeder
- Monitor the plant to ensure proper operations
- Monitor air emissions and will take appropriate corrective action
- Adjust the plant based on production and plant performance data
- Ensures material production schedule is maintained
- Determines timing and controls watering of stockpiles
- Checks stockpile to ensure product quality and mixes material to desired consistency
- Perform other projects as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to operate heavy mobile equipment and plant
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to identify mechanical malfunctions
- Ability to weld and burn
- Knowledge of plant equipment, conveyor systems, screens, and crushers
- Knowledge of materials and appropriate safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
