Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a full time Emergency Department Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Overall departmental management of the Emergency Department
• Day to day operations of the ED
• Leadership and mentor for personal and professional growth of staff
• Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, administering, documenting and evaluating patient care of all ages in accordance with the unit specific policies, procedures and physician treatment plan
• Acts as a liaison between management and staff, as well as between patient, physician, staff and family
• Completing and managing payroll, staff scheduling and annual performance reviews
• Materials Management

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Valid RN license in the state of Michigan
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in emergency care, intensive care and or medical surgical nursing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Within one year of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Cardiac Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
