The Buyer will play a key role in procurement, handling negotiations, assessing pricing, and evaluating vendor quotes and services to identify the most suitable suppliers. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaborates with vendors to gather product or service details.

- Negotiates optimal vendor terms, pricing, and delivery terms. Coordinates all inbound and outbound services, handling associated documentation.

- Conducts a weekly supply and demand analysis using Sage, based on MRP suggestions.

- Generates purchase orders and inputs them into Sage 100. Ensures timely receipt of order acknowledgments, confirming prices and requested delivery dates.

- Monitors expected deliveries and addresses any overdue orders, proactively contacting suppliers for follow-up. Notifies management of potential issues impacting production.

- Analyzes order requirements from global service centers and determines the most effective strategy to meet those needs.

- Interfaces with various departments to resolve problems related to non-inventory purchased items and services.

- Issues purchase orders for necessary parts and materials required for production and office areas.

- Manages a tracking system for specific Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) commodities.

- 3-5 years of procurement and experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Familiarity with MRP systems

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Capability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

- Strong mathematical skills.
