POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for delivery of all products and services of MBT to the market area. Manages a portfolio of agricultural & commercial loans, develops new loan business, and consumer loans as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Manage own loan portfolio consisting of agricultural and commercial loans and other duties as assigned. Develop and grow the agricultural and commercial portfolio for the Rochester Branch.
  1. Assist Market President & VP Commercial Lending in managing the office loan functions.
    • Conduct farm visits as per policy.
    • Cross sell to existing & new customers including crop insurance.
    • Monitors quality, compliance and trends of their portfolio.
    • Maintain or improve Interest Spread.
    • Make credit decisions within lending authority and insure compliance with loan policy and banking regulations. Including but not limited to, conducting annual reviews and writing presentations on loan banking relationships.
    • Work closely with MBT Market President and VP Commercial Lending monitoring quality, compliance, and trends.
    • Work with lending and loan support in location, as well as, centralized functions. Additionally, mentor new and existing loan support staff in further development.
    • Takes corrective actions when necessary and recommends solutions to the appropriate authority.
    • Oversees agricultural and commercial market collection activities.
    • Serves as member of Loan Committee.
    • Help other lenders as needed with inspections, spread sheets, and loan closings.
  1. Make referrals to MBT Insurance, MBT Investments, or our Customer Service Representatives. Conducts prospect calls seeking new business.
  1. Represents the bank in community activities to strengthen the community and build goodwill for MBT.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance and/or agriculture

Experience:

  • Five or more years’ experience in lending or related field
