Computer Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Beyond Talentedge is currently recruiting a Computer Technician who will play a supporting role for the client's technology processing and fulfillment. Tasks will include testing and evaluating the strength of donated computer equipment and preparing the devices for distribution.

Salary: $19.00 per hour

• Rochester, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person

• Process in-bound computer donations
• Assigning tag and inputting the computer information into database.
• Processing hard drives through data wiping, installing operating system, activating the Windows license, and updating computer details in the database.
• Set up computers for delivery by cleaning the devices and bundling necessary accessories. (Duties may include pairing a laptop with a charger, or gathering a monitor, power cords, video cables, computer keyboard and mouse for a desktop computer).
• Test the donated monitors, keyboards, mice, power chargers and cords for working ability.
• Properly sort, store and identify accessories and individual cables so they can be re-used or redistributed.
• Analyze any damaged/defective computers to retrieve elements for recycling (circuit boards, hard drives, batteries, aluminum, copper, RAM, CPU).
• Assist with documentation updates, database maintenance and proper record keeping for our inventory.
• Frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or office environment is encouraged but not required.
