Shift Leader (Night Stock)

As a Night Stock Shift Leader at Pet Supplies Plus, you’re pawsitively passionate about people and

their pets. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your work day, you will

· Safely unloads our delivery trucks using the proper equipment

· Stocks shelves to ensure Fido always gets his favorite chew toy and treats

· Carries bags of kibble, cat litter, aquariums and other purchases out to neighbors’ cars

· Partnering with store team leaders to learn and reinforce the that make your store the favorite pet store in the neighborhood

· Providing leadership coverage and covers management functions when team leaders are offsite

· Adhering to operational policies and procedures (cleanliness, animal care, safety and security) that ensure exceptional service is provided to our neighbors

As a Shift Leader (Night Crew), you'll: Ensure the store is stocked, clean, and bright; Keep the store looking filled and fresh by stocking and organizing merchandise on the shelves; Work with various approved tools throughout your shift (box cutters, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.); Expand your experience as day shift leader, cashier or animal care person from time to time if you desire.

The Night Stock Shift Leader position can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65 lbs), climbing ladders and bend, kneel and stand for long periods of time. We support learning through our interactive Pet Degree pay-for-knowledge programs if you desire to expand your position into cashier, animal care, leadership etc. Candidates will work two or three nights per week from 8 p.m. until tasks are complete and will be guaranteed a minimum of four hours pay per shift. PaWsome Shift Leaders will have 2 plus years retail experience or one year of leadership experience. All candidates must pass a drug and background screening, and be 18 years or older.

Starting hourly wage is $15.00 per hour.

PAWsome Shift Supervisors will have:

• 2+ years of retail experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to operate all equipment – including a forklift – to run the store is important, as well as being able to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds (that cat litter can be heavy!).
• Candidates must be able to work flexible schedules, have reliable transportation and must pass the drug, background and validated selection test, and be 18 years or older.
