Position Summary:

The role of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to find and attract top talent. As a member of the HR team, they serve as the recruitment specialist, leading the strategies and procedures for all aspects of the recruitment process and all initiatives related to talent acquisition across Porter Family Companies. This role works collaboratively with hiring managers to ensure the success of companywide hiring goals. They will also drive the full recruitment lifecycle. The Talent Acquisition Specialist provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers while being an ambassador of our culture and values.

Essential Functions:

• Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each open role and implement innovative recruitment strategies to meet hiring goals and expectations.

• Manage the entire recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates.

• Foster high-touch relationships using a database of qualified candidates to choose from when positions become open.

• Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates, and create and post job descriptions and announcements.

• Write job descriptions and post job descriptions on relevant platforms, especially social media.

• Work with the HR team to assist in the onboarding process.

• Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative strategies to find quality candidates and prospects.

• Screen resumes and manage job candidates throughout the hiring process, from interview preparation to final offer negotiation.

• Maintain a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects and hired and terminated employees.

• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.

• Provide monthly analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the VP of Talent, Team, & Culture.

• Participate in job fairs, professional conferences, and community events to build brand awareness and promote career opportunities.

• Promote Porter Pipe’s culture, values, and industry reputation.

• Work closely with our Learning & Development Manager to foster and grow our college recruiting process, including on-campus job fairs and summer internships.

• Manage summer internship program by scheduling rotations and assignments, monitoring intern contributions, collecting feedback from managers, and advising managers on the next steps.

• Provide HR support to the HR team and general employee relations to Porter Pipe & Supply team members.

• Drive brand, culture, and service values and philosophy through communication.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management or related field

• Five or more years of experience in recruitment and Human Resources.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

• Advanced knowledge of productivity software, database management, social media posting, and internet search methods.

• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.

• Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in-person).

• Ability to travel to Porter Pipe locations when required.

• Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.

• Self-motivated, works independently, and meets critical deadlines.

• Experience in developing recruitment strategies.

• Desire to grow professionally with networking and ongoing training opportunities.

• Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
