Homewatch CareGivers - Windsor has an opening for a compassionate Bilingual (English/Spanish) or soley Spanish-Speaking 24-Hour Live-in Caregiver (CNA, HHA, PCA, or another experienced caregiver) to provide assistance to a client in their home. If hired, you will enjoy making a difference in the health and wellbeing of your client(s) by providing companionship, assistance with tasks in the home, and providing hands-on care with daily hygiene, transfers, and other activities of daily living.

Schedule:

Live-in caregivers remain at their client's home for 2 to 5 consecutive days with the same schedule typically being repeated each week. Occasionally, continuous live-in appointments are available. During the 2 to 5 days that live-in caregivers are at their client's home, each 24-hour day is divided as follows:

  • 13 hours allotted for providing care to the client
  • 8 hours allotted for sleep
  • 3 hours allotted for personal time (breaks)

Each client is unique and job responsibilities vary according to the needs of the client. Common responsibilities include:

  • Confidently and skillfully work independently with one or more clients in their homes.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, transfers, ambulation, and meals.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by performing light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks.
  • Interact with clients in a meaningful way through conversation, activities, and personalized care.
  • Provide transportation and/or accompaniment to activities outside of the home such as shopping and appointments. The ability to drive is NOT required for live-in caregivers.
  • Encourage and support clients in making healthy choices as indicated on their personalized care plans, such as reminders to take their medications and complete their physical therapy exercises.
  • Monitor, record, and report changes to health and well-being.
