Scale Service Technician

Job Type: Full-time

The MTA Weighing Group of companies, with more than 220 years of combined existence, offers you one of the largest, oldest, most experienced, and most professional weighing groups in the Central & Southeastern United States.

We are looking for a Scale Technician to join our team. This position requires a CDL and entails working at customer site locations or in assigned location's shop performing installations, maintenance, and scheduled testing of industrial scale systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs installation, calibration, repair, and preventative maintenance on industrial weighing and measuring equipment.

· Completes required paperwork to document repair, calibration and preventative maintenance.

· Drives company vehicle while traveling to customer's site or to pick up materials needed to complete assigned job duties.

· May require overnight travel to service territory based on customer schedules and could be out up to three (3) nights depending on the service route.

· Any other job-related duties assigned by management

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma, or equivalent, plus one year related experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

· Write routine reports

· Speak effectively

· Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

· Compute rate, ratio, and percent
