Media Planning & Strategy at MRM Media requires a blend of creativity, science, psychology, tech-savvy and innovation. We strategize how brands should communicate with people across the myriad of media channels, and how to do that differently from every other brand. This role will allow you to flex your media prowess in service of solving big brand and business challenges.

You will manage the planning, implementing and the maintenance of holistic media campaigns with the ability to assist in both the higher level strategy as well as the implementation/execution of a media plan. You will manage direct client relationships as well as train and manage Planners and Associates in all media planning functions.

Candidates should have a successful track record of managing complex media strategies and plans, as well as winning client confidence through sound strategic thinking, strong qualitative and quantitative support and excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong teamwork, mentoring, operational excellence and a great work ethic are important as well, having a ripple effect that raises the bar for the team as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Be a day-to-day point of contact for clients on everything from status calls to media plan presentations

* Collaborate with fellow media team members on development of media strategies and plans

* Collaborate across all of departments to develop campaign approach

* Show off your storytelling prowess with presentations that bring your media plan to life

* Collaborate and foster relationships with key partners including clients, internal teams, and leadership

* Making and maintaining strong working relationships with media vendors for smooth planning, execution and implementation

* Provide day-to-day direction to implementation groups for the strategic media plan

* Maintain and communicate up-to-date records of the implementation of the plan

* Provide research and analysis to manage various issues that arise in the execution

* Research market trends in emerging media and content development

* Working with our media buyers and other partners to ensure that the plans and ideas are strategically relevant and commercially viable

* Participate in ideation sessions

* Investigate new media and technology

Plan effective digital and traditional media strategies using your technology and media experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 3-5 years in Media Planning and strategy

* Experience planning and negotiating media across the full landscape from national to local

* Ability to think strategically and critically, anticipating the output and goals of all projects

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal/presentation

* Insatiably curious and capable of devising and conducting media experiments and tests

* Not intimidated by ambiguity or problems without established best practice solutions

* Experience planning across all paid media channels - traditional & digital

* Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

* You're a dynamic, creative thinker who can flex both their right-and-left hand sides of their brain, depending on the day and how much coffee you've had

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
