Our X-Ray Techs operate radiologic equipment to take diagnostic x-rays. Performs routine diagnostic procedures. Takes, annotates and sends patient images. Assist clinical and administrative personnel by completing various forms and reports on patients. If you're a new grad, come learn from the best. If you're experienced, we will value your expertise!
Location: Vail, CO; this tech will be required to cover other locations including Edwards, Frisco, and Basalt as needed to support the business.
Tentative Assignment Dates: April 2024 (we have a housing spot available, paid for by the clinic, though taxed as income, available to move in immediately through the month of April). Applications for this position will be accepted until 30 days from the posting date. If the position is not filled during this time, the application window will be extended. Candidates who are selected to move through the interviewing process will be contacted directly.
Compensation: starts at $32/hr; increasing based on experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Operates x-ray machine to perform routine diagnostic procedures.
Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays.
Observes patient vital signs during examination.
Decides length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.
Authorizes release of patients upon completion of radiologic examination.
Examines radiologic image for properties such as density and contrast, magnification and distortion.
Prepares for delivery to radiologist/doctor for reading/interpretation.
Maintains, cleans and disinfects x-ray rooms and office area.
Fills and restocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
Ensures radiologic equipment is clean and maintained.
Places records in patient charts, adds billing codes for x-rays and keeps proper order.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiological Technology Program.
Current ARRT license.
Demonstrated problem solving and work flow management skills required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must maintain a professional attitude towards patients and an excellent and collegial working relationship with other Steadman Clinic and hospital personnel in involved in patient care.
Must demonstrate understanding of procedures, policies and documentation required to ensure compliance with hospital standards of care.
Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively.
