Logistics (Tracking Load) Customer Service Specialist

SUMMARY

The Logistics Customer Service Specialist is responsible for tracking and monitoring shipments, while learning and applying transportation concepts and principles. The selected candidate will be accountable for interactions with internal and external customers including processing shipments, billing and carrying out exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handles communications between internal and external stakeholders, including customers and vendors. This includes shipment status inquiries, billing concerns, etc.
• Dispatches arranged deliveries and communicates with carriers as required.
• Escalates all recurring carrier / vendor service issues to the appropriate Go2 Logistics personnel.
• Maintains service relations with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal staff.
• Consults with supervisor as needed for concurrence on non-standard services.
• Ensures that customers are properly setup and maintained in the various Go2 Logistics systems.
• While complying with customer and regulatory requirements, processes shipments utilizing Go2 logistics SOP's.
• Communicates status of shipment / carrier communications (Arrival Notice, notification to customer, etc.) as required.
• Enters and updates all required milestone tracking events within the employee's area of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not supervise any direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Required
• Authorized to work in the United States
• One year of previous experience in freight forwarding industry, logistics or supply chain preferred.
• One year of customer service experience preferred
• Transportation or supply chain education a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Regularly uses arms to reach, hands and fingers for computer and phone use
• Speaking clearly and listen while on the phone or in contact with teammates
• Will spend several hours a day in front of a computer terminal
