Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the administration of the Information Security Program.
  • Assists with the administration of the Incident Response Program, IS Risk Assessment Program, and IS Internal Controls Assessment Program.
  • Works with the network infrastructure team to evaluate, test, and troubleshoot technologies. Expected to identify, diagnose, and resolve information security issues.
  • Prepares comprehensive reports to include assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.
  • Monitors security issues that need to be addressed; identifies security strategies needed to deal with the risks; implements policies for allocating administrative tasks; monitors and maintains rules implemented on various security appliances and software; stays on top of audit logs to flag suspicious activity.
  • Establishes strong relationships with integrators and vendors to maintain upgrades, installations, and planning.
  • Reviews and reacts to alerts that are generated from security appliances and software solutions.
  • Schedules, reviews, reports, and remediates internal/external vulnerability scans and assessments.
  • Performs forensic data investigations on servers and workstations that were potential involved in malicious activity.
  • Monitors and reports cybersecurity incidences that could possibly have an effect on the institution.
  • Collaborates with our third-party vendors to meet security requirements on new and existing solutions.
  • Promotes and establishes strong, positive and productive working relationships within the organization through commitment to the company's purpose, mission and core values.

Education
Bachelors of Computer Science (required)

Experience
3 years: * 3 -5 years of progressive responsibility and experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. (required)
* One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Certification. (required)
* Experience in administering enterprise level endpoint security software. Experience in incident response and event monitoring. Working knowledge of security best practices, policies and procedures. (required)
* Experience in various network protocols, firewalls, vulnerability assessment tools, remote access, cloud technology, and security management tools. (required)
* Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and Encryption protocols. (required)
* Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office suite, Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO). (required)
