Position: System Test Technician Location: Irvine, CA Position Description: DZYNE Technologies is building a highly skilled team that thrives in the design, development, test and manufacturing of intelligent, autonomous vehicles. The candidate will work in a vehicle development and manufacturing environment where projects are realized with the highest degree of commitment to quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will be a highly organized self-starter who has direct, hands-on experience testing Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and UAS subsystems. The candidate must have solid technical abilities, able to quickly analyze technical difficulties, isolate problems to the component level, and promptly resolve the problem as necessary. Required Skills and Responsibilities: Must have the ability to test a variety of subsystems including: electrical, software, propulsion, flight controls, communications, ground control station. Strong background with electrical systems theory of operation, ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions Execute written test procedures, collect test data, and report the results. Provide input to engineering and program management for continuous improvement with documented procedure improvements, additional test equipment and aids. Maintain system test area with all necessary test equipment inventoried and categorized as appropriate for testing Ability to use test equipment such as multi-meters and aircraft systems specific related test equipment. Perform system test activities and troubleshooting at field test site Follow specific tool control, FOD control, and safety guidelines and policies. Exemplary communication skills Works independently with little to no supervision. Able to perform assigned duties while wearing required PPE safety equipment. Perform other duties as directed by supervision and management for the benefit of the company, program, or employee(s). Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Experience in theoretical and practical experience with robotic technologies. Able to clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED. 4-6 years relative work experience. A & P License preferred Clearance Level Required: US Person Required, Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance Travel Required: CONUS travel expected to various field test sites Working Conditions The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment or warehouse. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work. May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors. Hourly Rate: $29.00 - $39.00 Hourly rate depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the hourly rate, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
