POSITION SCOPE
The Procurement Manager’s position will be responsible for directing the purchasing and stores activities for three operating companies, namely: Woodland Pulp, LLC, St. Croix Tissue, Inc. and St. Croix Chipping, LLC
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Procurement of service contracts, equipment and supplies.
• Meet current and future operating company requirements in a timely manner and including quality, price, and total vendor service.
SKILLS
• Solid working knowledge of supervising and managing employees.
• Extensive knowledge in cost analysis, internal controls, inventory control, purchasing, shipping/receiving, negotiating contracts, and records management.
• Working knowledge of automated purchasing operations including data input.
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
EDUCATION & TRAINING
• B.S./B.A. in Business Management
• Minimum of five years of experience in supply chain management
• Purchasing management experience in pulp and paper preferred
• ISM certification is a plus
• Prior experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Includes working in an office, as well as within the plant.
• Follow all Company safety and security standards, procedures, and policies, including wearing appropriate safety PPE.
• The Company will provide training regarding the following: (a) union contracts and various reporting software programs used, including meeting environmental and safety objectives, (b) Reliability Excellence initiatives, and (c) basic understanding of inter-departmental mill processes.
• There is also room for advancement or changing of work area, if so desired. This position will report directly to the Vice President, IGIC U.S. East Operations, with a dotted line reporting role to three operating companies.
