Response Coordinator Job Summary:
The nation''s largest provider of Disruptive Event Management services is looking for a qualified Response Coordinator to join their team. The Response Coordinator will provide initial screening and triage evaluation of calls received at the Response Center. The Response Coordinator is responsible for assigning crisis response services to available qualified Consultants as appropriate. This individual will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the customer’s Employee Assistance Representative and the assigned Consultant to assist in the coordination of on-site, in-office, or telephonic response, as appropriate.
Response Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Independently assesses emergency response scenarios to efficiently and effectively respond to a variety of incidents of various scales and scopes.
- Monitor, interpret and respond to each case diligently.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders (local, state-wide and country-wide) and community partners for involvement in emergency management activities.
- Take the lead on exploring incidents from all angles and working with clients to resolve them in an effective and timely manner.
- Evaluate the severity and potential impact and notifying company resources and management of the incident.
- Provide accurate and timely cost estimates are being provided throughout a response.
- Review and update system and process changes.
- Ensure customers are vetted to avoid any potential arising issues.
- Coordinate services by determining resources, response locations, arrival times etc.
- Perform various administrative and dispatch duties in a Call Center type environment exercising independent judgement as well as decision making responsibilities.
- Utilize internal software to initiate, track and manage responses while using multiple databases.
- Interact with clients and customers in a professional, upbeat and timely manner.
Schedule: 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Monday through Friday. (After 6-week training period)
Response Coordinator Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of customer service experience is required
- Account management experience is preferred
- Experience in a call center highly preferred
- Bachelor''s or associate’s degree preferred but not required
- Experience in a background of advocacy, crisis management, or risk management is highly preferred
- Professional, courteous and helpful demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to stay calm under stressful situations
- Advanced computer skills, including the ability to type accurately into the database while speaking on the phone
- Average or above skills with Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn new software programs
- Strong collaborative skills and a willingness to help team members
- Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime
