Objective: 

This position is responsible for supporting both Account Managers and Producers to deliver an exceptional experience to both clients and prospective client. A successful Account Coordinator will have the service skills needed to meet internal and external customer needs, aiding in the gain and retention of the Lighthouse Group client base. The ability to organize and prioritize work during high volume periods to meet deadlines and expectations is a critical component of this role. This position requires interaction with Lighthouse Group leadership, colleagues, clients, and carrier representatives.


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Internal Services, Account Management and Producer teams
  • Adhere to agency best practices relative to workflow management and data integrity
  • Support the management of renewal and proposal processes
  • Prepare documents for client meetings
  • Assist Account Managers with client management and stewardship tasks; including, but not limited to, claims, reporting, motor vehicle reports, and certificates insurance
  • Assist in the maintenance of stewardship reporting for Account Management team
  • Research policy language and compare coverage options to support Account Manager decision-making
  • Master internal client management systems, including AMS 360 and ImageRight
  • Assist in training junior team members
  • Pursue a program for personal and professional development
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment – build trust, open communication, creative thinking & cohesive teamwork
  • Support Lighthouse Group culture through leading by example
  • Performs other duties and projects as needed

  • Exceptional organizational, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Basic understanding and use of Microsoft Office products
  • Possess or willing to obtain a Property, Casualty, Life, and Health license
  • Additional designations highly desirable (CPCU, CIC, CISR, etc)
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate insurance coverage
  • Thorough understanding of underwriting and insurance coverage
  • Ability to understand workflows and identify opportunities to streamline and improve established process
  • Very strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to calculate figures - commissions, interest, carrier rating, and percentages
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in written form
