Pharmacy Technician
As a Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for maintaining productivity and quality standards as well as legal and company compliance as you enter in new prescriptions and assist in the preparation of prescriptions.
Additional responsibilities:
- Receiving prescription and/or medical orders;
- Obtain information on new patient/youth to establish patient medical profile, such as diagnosis or desired therapeutic outcome, allergies, adverse reaction(s), and medical history;
- Assess prescription/medication order for completeness, correctness, authenticity, and legality;
- Calibrate equipment needed to prepare or compound the prescription/medication order;
- Compound medications for dispensing according to prescription formula or instructions;
- Measure or count finished dosage forms for dispensing;
- Record preparation of medication in various dosage forms;
- Record preparation of controlled substances for dispensing;
- Package the preparation;
- Prepare and affix label(s) and auxiliary label(s) to container(s);
- Perform intermediate checks of the prescription/medication order during processing;
- Maintain drug and supply inventory and inventory records;
- Deliver medication to clinics/nursing staff and organize medication;
- Review pharmacy stock for expired drugs;
- Assist Pharmacist-in-Charge, Pharmacist, or designee to identify and resolve problems that arise with patient/youth therapy;
- Other duties as assigned

Specific Pharmacy Technician requirements:
- Area: Ability to work near Crescent City, CA.
- License requirement: Active California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
- Years of experience: 1 year of experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, including some weekends.
- Length of Assignment: Temporary, Full-Time
- Pay: Depending on Experience
- Background/drug requirements: Ability to complete background check, client health screening criteria and drug screen
