Laboratory Coordinator

A laboratory in the Phoenix area is currently hiring for a Laboratory Coordinator/Chemist. In this role, the candidate can expect the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate the day-to-day floor activities in the laboratory.
• Develops daily goals for the lab that need to be accomplished in order to assure tasks are being accomplished with the best utilization of time.
• Creates and manages lab-related documentation and organizes laboratory activities.
• Coordinate lab work to ensure timely completion of service requests.
• Anticipates potential problems, and helps staff to resolve them as they occur to get back on schedule.
• Consults with lab manager and other in-house experts for completion of work tasks.
• Consistently investigates how many resources are needed to accomplish the plan and the goals.
• Takes corrective actions, changing things which need improvement.
• Assists in identifying cGMP quality training needs for lab personnel.
• Performs quality risk assessment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field required
• At least 1 year of experience in laboratory setting required
• Lab management experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
