Utility Paralegal - Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary: The utility paralegal works in conjunction with the attorneys and other paralegals to effectively manage cases while providing top service to the client. The utility paralegal will not have their own case load, but will assist where needed on a day to day basis. Duties and Responsibilities: * Daily case management * Ordering and reviewing police reports, supplemental reports, medical records, insurance policies, etc. * Investigation using Westlaw, REJIS, social media, etc. * Preparing pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, affidavits, medical chronologies and other litigation support documents * Managing attorney s calendar and court deadlines * Preparation of settlement distributions and allocations * Other duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications: * Paralegal with personal injury experience preferred * Must possess strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail * Must have the ability to handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Experience in legal research * Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Education: * Associates Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred * High School Diploma Benefits: Beyond the benefits listed below, Brown & Crouppen has been recognized as a Top Workplace for 5 years in a row by The St. Louis Post Dispatch.
