Trusts and Estates Paralegal

LHH is recruiting a Trusts & Estates Paralegal for the St. Louis office of a national law firm. Benefits include: includes medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with employer contribution, short and long term disability plans, life insurance, well-being initiatives, and paid parental leave programs.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the probate process, including opening/closing estates, e-filing, preparing accountings, and handling asset transfers.
• Assisting with trust process, including funding, administration, and notices.
• Assisting with the preparation of basic estate planning documents and related trust funding.
• Assisting with the preparation of estate tax returns, gift tax returns, individual and fiduciary income tax returns.
• Communicating with clients and advisors.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of probate, trust and tax experience.
• General understanding of estate planning principles and trust funding procedures.
• Knowledge of beneficiary designation forms and ability to coordinate with clients' financial advisors.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and good judgement.
• Ability to manage high volume priorities while working with others to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, especially when working with clients.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
