Process Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Company Information:

Our client manufactures drywall and wall sheathing. They manufacturing about 8 different types of boards ranging from 3/8's, 1/2" and 5/8's where 1/2" is most popular. They have been approved for 5.4 million dollars in capital projects for 2017. The company has different departments - Production, Quality, Maintenance, Customer Service (Warehouse) and Engineering. Since the manager has been working there, any engineer that has left has been promoted within the company.

Position Information:

• Support the milling process in Area 1 in Plant 2.
• Meet with operators every morning at 8:00am.
• Performing as a hands-on engineer on the plant floor (50-70%)
• Perform Root Cause Analysis to identify problems.
• Find solutions to decrease waste - time, materials, etc.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:

• BS in Engineering - Chemical, Mechanical.
• Previously performed as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer.
• On the floor Manufacturing or Process experience.
• Background in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Waste reduction.
• Prove track record of successfully performing Root Cause Analysis.
• Project Management capabilities - taking a project from start to finish.
  

NICE TO HAVE:

• BS in Chemical Engineering
• Previously worked in a (World Class Manufacturing) WCM environment.
• Background with a heating process or working with a furnace

Additional Information:

• Performance bonuses can equate to 5% of income.

• 9 Engineers -3 Mechanical, 3 Process, 3 Automation - one of each in each section of plant.

• Standard 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Very minimal over time, very occasional weekends.
