The role of the Material Control Specialist may include one or more of the following: material receiving, put-away, packing, kitting, shipping, or counting. Responsible for performing data entry, transactions and physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and supplying of materials to the business.                                                    Responsibilities Keep project and inventory storage organized and accessible. Provide material handling and kitting support to manufacturing. Manage the inventory, including management of Kanban systems. Prepare packaging and complete shipping paperwork for domestic shipments Check goods received against purchase orders or packing lists. Must ensure paperwork and transactional work is processed in a complete, accurate and timely manner. Perform Inventory cycle counts Keep the work areas clean. Log information related to the management of RMA’s Operate forklift and pallet jack, as required Ensure a safe work environment Assist with departmental process improvements. Perform other projects as assigned. Qualifications Good communication skills (including listening, writing, speaking). Excellent customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to follow direction, is engaged and is flexible and adaptable to changing conditions. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a team environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values and complies with company policies and procedures. Education and Experience A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment preferred. High school diploma/or GED. Experience operating forklift and pallet jack desired. Knowledge of inventory control a plus. Experience with ERP systems a plus. Why Kelly®?
