CDL A or B Local Commercial Driver in Portland,OR - Now Hiring

Republic Services, an industry leader in U.S. recycling and non-hazardous solid waste, is now hiring a full-time CDL A or B Local Commercial Driver  to join the team in their Portland, OR location. Compensation:

• $25.50 to $30.60 per hour with 50 average hours weekly

• Overtime pay after 40 hours worked   

• Sign-On Bonus!

Home Time, Routes, & Schedule: 

• Home every night
• Schedule:
  • Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday  
  • No Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years Day!
  • Shift: 12:30 am - 10:30 am; note shift end time will be based upon route completion
• Route: 30 mile radius in and around downtown Portland, OR
• Level of touch: Front load trucks which requires getting in and out of truck to move containers or use chains

Equipment:

• Waste/dump trucks
• Automatic Transmission

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have CDL A or B License with air brakes endorsement / no airbrake restriction.
• 1 year minimum driving experience preferred but not required
• Will train new drivers!
• All accidents and moving violations will be reviewed. 
• Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, MVR and national background screen.
• Must be able to manually pick up refuse bins weighing up to sixty (60) pounds.
• Must be able to operate automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
• Driver should live within 45 miles of Portland, OR
