Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION OF OVERALL FUNCTIONUnder minimum supervision, following standard work procedures performs various repetitive production assembly and inspection operations to manufacture equipment and/or subassemblies by performing the following duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Assembles and/or manufactures equipment following Standard Work, Process Specifications, or verbal instructions- Must be able to work at any workstation and in any assigned cell area- May be required to transport parts or equipment in and out of cell to other departments- Records production and quality data at the cell as required- Participates in kaizens and problem-solving sessions (kaizen events and continuous improvement activities)- Readily recognizes quality defects in parts and subassemblies- Understands and maintains work area under 5S guidelines- May perform other related duties as assignedMUST BE DEPENDABLE AND RELIABLERequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION - High School diploma or equivalent- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English- Must perform simple math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)- Must be able to interpret simple drawings and use simple measuring devices (i.e. scales and calipers)- Familiar with workmanship criteria and able to recognize quality defects- Must understand -Stop the Line- authority- Must be able to work independently and be a proactive team player- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if requiredDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION- Knowledge of Standard Work, Kanban, 5S, and Problem Solving techniques- Three years- manufacturing experience- Computer skillsRELATIONSHIPS / SUPERVISION EXERCISED- May be required to train and guide other associates in the department- Regular interaction with Team Leader, QA, Manufacturing Engineer, Kanban Coordinator- Each associate is obligated to treat all coworkers and customers with courtesy and respectPERSONALITY AND BEHAVIOR TRAITS Well-organized- High attention to detail- Self-starter- Flexible to shifts in priority- Team player, dynamic- Positive attitude - Shows initiative Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
