Mechanical Design Engineer - Direct Hire

Express Employment Professionals East has partnered with a company in Indianapolis that is growing and looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will play an intricate role with their engineering team.  This position requires a wide range of mechanical, electrical and interpersonal skills and will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and project management.

• Use Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to design, create and maintain designs and layout approval drawings.
• Create detailed drawing and layouts for manufacturing and sales.
• Interface with project managers to meet special requirements for quoting and submittal layouts.
• Develop and maintain support manuals.

Desired Education, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar Design Technology degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of standard mechanical drafting practices.
• 3D solid modeling preferred using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
