Bookkeeping Manager Job Description

We are looking for an external Bookkeeper to assist clients enrolled in our Controller Program.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintenance and handling of clients’ books including monthly and quarterly financial statements. This person must be a detail oriented self starter with good organizational skills and have the ability to problem solve. Experience in accounting with emphasis regarding the general ledger and flow thru, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online is essential to be accomplished in this position. Experience in bill.com is also desired.

Essential Functions

1. Manage all bookkeeping related tasks for clients including but not limited to:

a. Accounts Receivable

b. Accounts Payable coding and entry

c. Correcting, monthly, and quarterly General Ledger entries

d. Recording of Assets, Leases, Loans, and Depreciation

e. Bank reconciliations

f. Electronic bank deposits

g. Credit card reconciliations

h. Monthly and quarterly financial statement
I. Payroll Entry and maintenance

2. Manage an accounting staff

3. Train clients on the use of QuickBooks Online, bill.com and other supplemental accounting software

4. Analyze client bookkeeping data and resolve issues

4. Provide detailed analysis of reports

5. Document client accounting procedures Job Requirements

Desired Experience

1. At least 4 years experience in accounting and or bookkeeping and knowledge of QuickBooks
and QuickBooks Online.

2. At least 4 years of computer experience including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.

Educational Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field) from an accredited 4-year university.
