Sous Chef - Part-time

What you will be responsible for:
Creating a 5-star experience for every guest.
Going beyond what is required and doing more than is expected
Food preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of all recipes and preparation methods
Checking on portion control to maintain a quality product.
Storing all food in refrigerated boxes including covers, labels and dates according to health code requirements.
Cleaning of walk-ins, reach-ins, to ensure all equipment in working areas is clean and sanitary and in proper working condition, in order to comply with health department regulations
All other duties as assigned.
At The Copper Mug we hire for character and attitude and you will be required to do a taste testing prior to offer.
The minimum qualifications for this job are as follows:
Have a strong knowledge of cooking techniques.
Be a good team player and have a positive attitude.
Must be Reliable!
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperation, and work with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
Ability to work on your own.
Ability to maintain concentration and a well organized work environment as well as the ability to think clearly.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Minimum 3 years experience cooking in a commercial kitchen.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business dictates
