Café Attendants - Full-time / Part-time

Citarella, the Ultimate Gourmet Market is seeking passionate and hard-working individual with food experience to join our team in Greenwich, CT!

The To-Go Café provides our customers with the ability to order from a selection of freshly cooked Citarella items that range from breakfast foods, prepared foods, wraps, paninis, coffees, juices, etc. and enjoy their food in our dining area or on the go. 

Job Summary:

Café Attendants are responsible for assisting in the preparation of To-Go food items, stocking, supplying, and maintaining all department stations including hot, cold, and salad bars. Our Café Attendants are constantly seeking to ensure full levels of quality product are maintained and presentable for customers.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Prior kitchen/food preparation and food handling experience or similar/relevant experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills including ability to take direction and communicate product/ingredient information to customers
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to work in a team and independently
• Ability to visually examine products for quality/freshness and meet cleanliness and sanitation requirements
• Follow all guidelines and procedures as outlined in the health and safety policy
• Maintain clean and organized work station and surrounding areas
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, bending, walking, standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
