We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and payroll duties, including managing all aspects of accounts payable, preparing and processing payroll, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a permanent, full-time position with an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting & Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for:

1. Handling all aspects of accounts payable, including processing invoices, preparing checks, and maintaining vendor files.
2. Preparing and processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis, including calculating hours, deductions, and bonuses.
3. Reconciling bank statements on a monthly basis and resolving any discrepancies.
4. Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
5. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledger entries and supporting documentation.
7. Assisting with the annual budgeting process and periodic financial audits.
8. Providing excellent customer service to employees and vendors regarding any accounting or payroll inquiries.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Accounting & Payroll Clerk position will have the following qualifications:

1. An associate's degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting and payroll.
3. Proficiency in accounts payable and payroll systems.
4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
