Machine Builder

This is a first shift position. Our client is currently looking for two machine builders

Typical day will involve them being handed a print or schematic, making the necessary parts, fabricating, and assembly of component/machine. There is a wide variety of machines that they could be making (risers, robot cells, conveyors, assembly machines, test fixtures, etc.) and they make just about anything the customer asks. While fabricating they will be working with the following equipment: saws, grinders, MIG welder, plasma cutters, drills, bridgeport/mill. Some of the work will require them to be paired up with another machine builder but a majority of the time they will be working on their own.

Qualifications: MUST:
- Machine building, electrical and mechanical (minimum of 2 years)
- Blueprint and schematic reading. Must understand basic mechanical schematics, electrical schematics and electrical symbols. (minimum of 2 years)
- Fabrication and MIG welding (minimum of 2 years)
- Wiring of control panels. Must understand how to layout, wire from electrical schematic and test electrical control panels with little to no supervision. Must understand how to wire, external from electrical control panels, electrical components per electrical schematic with little or no supervision. (minimum of 2 years)
- Hand tools
- Familiar with machine shop machinery
- High school diploma/GED

PLUS:
- PLC programming; specifically Allen Bradley
