Test Equipment Services is looking for a highly skilled self-motivated Calibration Technician to support our Physical Dimensional team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Calibration Technician is responsible for the repair and calibration of test equipment. This position consists of daily interaction with peers and production while maintaining a monthly workload of calibration and repairs.

This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.
  • May be eligible for relocation


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics
  • Work under minimal supervision and perform a variety of highly complex technical tasks which require a substantial understanding of engineering techniques and all technical objectives.
  • Utilize effective communication and provides technical recommendations for capital, expense, and service acquisitions
  • Works from minimal documentation or written or verbal instruction
  • May assist engineers with design and development of new processes and or products
  • Maintains a monthly workload of calibration and repair
  • Support on-site calibrations and repairs as needed at various surrounding sites
  • Work with various electrical and mechanical test equipment


Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with physical/dimensional equipment such as Force/Mass, temperature, pressure, etc. preferred
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair off prints, or written work instructions
  • Must have good time management skills and work from a weekly to-do list and be able to re-organize if priorities suddenly shift
  • Familiarity with TEMS+ and TEN a plus

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
