Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently seeking an experienced 1st shift Production Supervisor to join our team.  This role reports to the Operations Manager at our plant in Bloomington, MN and is considered a critical member of the CPP-Minneapolis team.  This position offers competitive compensation & benefits package which includes a bonus program that is paid quarterly, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K with match and robust paid vacation & holidays. 

Major Responsibilities
  • Maximize productivity at minimum cost of assigned department(s). 
  • Offer support and direction to hourly staff to meet company productivity and quality objectives.
  • Operate as a business owner demonstrating metrics based management in areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Ensures effective employee relations, coaching, and employment development
  • Create a positive culture focused on metrics and progressing business unit forward through group participation and ownership of project pipeline and business unit as a whole.
  • Responsible for driving a culture of safety in your business unit, putting safety first, and utilizing stand up meetings, safety talks, and other means to communicate and set expectations with employees, driving accountability and excellence in all facets of safety.
  • Owns quality, productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Responsible for onboarding new employees and training for on the job tasks and responsibilities.
  • Mentor existing Leads and/or develop Leads to help facilitate company goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for performance management and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Utilize LEAN management within your business unit
  • Continuous improvement – hold formal meetings with hourly workers to obtain cost saving projects that will be reported to Senior Management in the proper format.
About You
  • Bachelors’ Degree Technical or HS Diploma with experience
  • NDT Experience needed
  • Able to manage daily workflow of up to 35 hourly employees using hands on leadership and mentorship and also able to hold employees accountable
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment   
  • 8+ years of Manufacturing experience in the aerospace and/or casting industry preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient MS Office suite of software (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point. etc.), Excellent written, verbal & presentation communications skills, Strong commitment and focus on safety, Proficient with Lean Management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke), ability to gather and employ data to meet operational goals in metric driven environment.
