Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant GVM Inc is currently in search of a Staff Accountant to join our expanding team in Biglerville, PA 17307. Executive SummaryThe Staff Accountant will be a self-starting professional who will participate in the month and year end close, invoice customers as necessary and facilitate the flow of data in the accounting system. We are a family-owned company that is built on traditional values. The Staff Accountants duties include reconciling general ledger accounts, reporting and setting up payment of miscellaneous taxes, invoice customers, accounts payable posting, and generating vendor payments, special projects as assigned. This position reports to the Controller. What we Offer: Salary Range: $55,000/- To $65,000/- Annually. Key Performance MetricsTimely completion of month end financial statements. Accurate preparation of miscellaneous tax returns such as sales taxes. ResponsibilitiesMaintain supporting documentation on balance sheet accounts Reconcile general ledger accounts at month end Assist with outside review of year end financial statements Approve, export and post vendor invoices into accounting software Maintain cash balance and reconciliation daily Post vendor invoices into ERP system Maintain vehicle records and registrations Respond to government inquiries as necessary Other duties as assigned Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting required 2-4 years progressive experience in a CPA firm or corporate environment Excellent Microsoft Excel skills Knowledge of Sage 100 and Microsoft Query a plus Superb attention to detail Highly developed organizational skills GVM is an Equal Opportunity Employer
