Our company is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of financial management within the manufacturing sector and will play a pivotal role in our financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making processes. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the Financial Controller being directly involved in all aspects of accounting, including General Ledger, Accountants Payable, and Accountants Receivable. The successful candidate will possess a keen analytical mind, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, including Accountants Payable, Accountants Receivable, and General Ledger.
  • Implement and manage all systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, ensuring quality compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Liaise with the company's financial management team, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CMA, CGA, or CPA will be considered a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, or Senior Accountant in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Business Central and other financial planning software.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
