Job Description :
Manager, Software Engineering positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Austin, TX). Responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, governance, and management of a brand-new API platform. Provide high-quality, maintainable software that meets business and technology needs. Influence Software and IT Managers to design and build solutions that meet business' needs. Plan, design, implement, and operationalize innovations and improvements to existing programs. Work with the team to continually improve their processes and develop best practices for agile development that delivers value to our stakeholders. Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and responsible in seeing those issues through resolution.
Minimum Requirements :
Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience engaging in project management. In lieu of a bachelor's degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Also requires 1 year of experience: developing software; architecting large software solutions; working with REST APIs, API Management tools, and cloud deployment patterns; executing Agile methods for software product development; using REST APIs and design patterns; and performing business analysis, system analysis, or product analysis. Position reports to office in Austin, TX. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
