Teletherapy Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Position in Michigan

Responsibilities:
- Assessment Excellence: Asses students skills and determine their educational needs.
- Safe Space: Develop a personalized, safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for students on caseload.
- Academic Achievement: Promote student motivation and engagement by planning activities and implementing lesson plans to each students abilities.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor students' progress and adjust instruction and lesson plans as necessary.
- Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate closely with school teams, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessment and evaluation results.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in Special Education/Sign Language.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Active Michigan SLI Certification.
- Experience Matters: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher/Sign Language Interpreter, with expertise in IEPs, tracking student progress, and assessing students skills and learning requirements.
- Passion for Helping Others: Demonstrate a genuine passion for helping students overcome communication struggles and academic challenges.
- Tech Savvy: Be comfortable working remotely and have access to reliable internet and necessary computer equipment.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent visual,verbal and written communication skills.
