We're in search of a qualified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team and collaborate with a school district in Buffalo, MO. This exciting opportunity is for the upcoming school year and offers extensive support from our dedicated staff. The position entails possibly working with students from Pre-K to 12th grade.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for certification in the state of [Insert State].
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders, therapy techniques, and evidence-based practices.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education in the field of speech language pathology.

Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in conducting screenings, assessments, and evaluations to determine students' communication needs.
- Implement speech and language therapy interventions under the guidance and supervision of SLPs.
- Provide individual or small group therapy sessions to students based on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or as directed by SLPs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into students' academic and social environments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, session notes, and therapy plans.
- Assist in the development of materials and resources to support speech and language goals in the classroom.
