School Psychologist
Location: Stockton, IL
Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in Stockton, IL. The School Psychologist will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and community members to promote a positive school environment and facilitate student success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning
- Interpret assessment results to determine eligibility for special education services and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Provide counseling and support services to students individually and in groups to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and accommodations to support students' learning and development
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Serve as a resource to school staff and families on issues related to child development, mental health, and learning disabilities
Educational Requirements:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
Certifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
